Firstly,....apologies for raising an old thread again but just wanted to share my experience with a no Dot Penny that's just returned from grading. Total disclosure,...I am a relative newbie to pre-decimals compared to the wealth of knowledge that I have read through on this forum, so please excuse me if I type anything that's incorrect. I had sent a dozen Pennies for grading,...of that number,.....two were 1920's. On the paperwork I sent I had identified that they were both were no dots. They both returned from the States as XF45's. Something that I hadn't noted before they went abroad was that one was obviously a London Obverse. I was surprised because all my reading had said that they didn't exist. For the grading company to have labelled the holder as No Dot has left me confused. I have sent the coin to a more experience friend for further clarification for the possible presence of die markers that I am not familiar with. I have attached some photos. I feel as it is possibly a dot below bottom scroll due to the well documented die fill issue. I hope it's OK to post photos of the coin in the slab which identifies the company? echidna Pillar of the Community Australia 606 Posts	Posted 09/18/2026 9:14 pm It has what I call the "groovy" die marker which indicates a dot below. This is a blip or groove on the rim above O in OMN. Its definitely a dot below. By the way there are two versions of the dot below London die. This is one and the other is called the "E chip".
