Dumped my half's back into the system yesterday, and ordered 2 more boxes of halfs - will pick up the end of next week. Meanwhile, I decided to pick up 10 rolls of quarters to see if I could find any DDO's or DDR's etc- instead, I found a 1945P and a 1959D Silver quarter. I'm surprised that these were in these rolls! First time EVER finding ANY pre-65 silver while going thru quarter rolls. Keep searching, they are still out there

Its always nice to find silver in rolls. Better than the luck I had with halves the other day, LOL.
Congrats on the finds.

Great find chuckster! I haven't had any recent luck with quarters, but I used to find them quite frequently when I first started my second and current stint as a numismatist back in 1999. It's nice to see that there's still some out there

I've still never had a silver quarter, but then again I don't roll hunt quarters. Makes me want to get a box!

I'm looking through 460.00 worth of quarters the neighbor had. Nothing yet but some pretty nice State Quarters. Do you think they're worth hanging onto?

Chuckster, that is very unusual to find silver quarters. Quarters are the worst denomination for silver hunters. Nice score!

Although I should mention on a more serious note that I recall someone on this forum finding a foreign gold coin in a cent roll a while ago, so just about anything is possible I suppose.

LOL! Cents would be much harder, but I have found dimes in cent rolls, not any pre 65 silver so far , but still dime's in cent rolls, so it could happen! Found a 2002S Iowa State Quarter yesterday roll searching. It has scratches etc on it, but still has a lot of the mirror finish to it also.
