You have a circulated 1864, large motto two-cent piece in maybe Fine-12 condition. The Red Book gives a retail price of $25 but that is quite inflated. I expect it's only worth $8 - $10. This date is common and can be easily purchased in low uncirculated grade for less than $100.

Still, it's a nice coin for a beginning collector. It's always fun to explain to non-collectors that the USA once issued 2-cent pieces!

I agree with jaobler , while this date is very accessable the coins are not widely known outside the collecting community and I have used them to spark the interest of more than a few new collectors .
