One of the far 6 working dies in about EF-40. Nice coin.

I can see an arguement for AU-50. Very strong brow

There is no way this coin would get an AU grade, from any reputible grading company.

Look at 9:00 on the obverse, and 3:00 on the reverse, the denticles are completely worn.

If it wasn't for this, I would say it's EF40, but given this, it is probably even lower.

This large cents are not my area of expertise, but that's my assessment from a general coin grading perspective.

I agree that the coin would struggle to get AU. EF is probably where it would settle. I use the hair and crown diamonds for main markers here.

did you ever wonder how the wear pattern occured on this coin...almost like someone rubbed the same spot between fingers over a long period of time....may have been someones lucky penny
