If it was a case of weak hubbing all of the peripheral letters would be equally affected. As you can see, it's just GOD that's affected. Error coin writer and researcher. The more the field is removed, the shallower the devices. The field and device areas are starting to join together making a thinning of the letters. Report this Post to the Staff

And I agree with Mike...I have seen cases of weak hubbing before and they do look similar...but the fact that the raised field is in a smaller area signifies that this is abrasion. I stand corrected.
