I am confused on the difference of proof and regular coins for earlier lincoln cents or indian heads. I saw this in another post (1909LWC)and I do not know the differences between the 2 until of course the S mint was used. Any help would be great!

Type proof vs. ms in the search box to the upper left of the page and you will find a lot of info.
