Hi, I'm new to the forum so bear with me.

I stumbled across an old Aus $20 note, you know the paper kind instead of the modern plastic...

The serial is RPZ 051446.

Just wondering if anyone has any information on year, value etc.

Thanks :)

Hi there,

judging by the serial number the note is from 1991 with signatures of B. Fraser & T. Cole.

It's value depends on the condition (a photo would be handy). Using the current catalogue value, a circulated note is worth $20-35 [grades "Fine" to "Very Fine"]; a note that has had little circulation is worth $45-70 [grades Extremely Fine to About Uncirculated]; and a note that is perfect condition or "Uncirculated" is worth $120.

I used the 2010 Macdonald's guide it also has useful info on gradings.

Hope this helps

Cheers Simon
