I have been searching for 2009 Jefferson nickels, either mint, but haven't seen one. I am getting rolls from the bank each week, about $12 worth, and haven't found any yet.

What' the deal?

I've searched 500 rolls or so and I just found my first 2009P. The dimes (P&D) are more common. Just keep looking they're out there.

There is just something wrong with that, Richard! I cannot find them in change, but you have people there already losing them?

I'm a Jefferson collector, and I'm frustrated not being able to find my first "09" in my change. I refuse to pay what ebay prices are running now a days!

I say hang loose ..... stay calm ... they will show up soon enough.

Do not wig out and buy a high-priced one from E-Pray ..... geepers ..... there are over 35 million circulation strikes from each mint ....

The 'late delivery' is a result IMHO of last years economic crisis whereby banks did not need to purchase the coins ...... but they are now being released and will show up soon at a bank near you!

Soon we will be tossing them back in the reject bag.
