Hi Gang,

I have been having a problem with a dealer for the past month and a half. I would like your input as to what you think I should do about it.

I was the successful bidder in ebay auction #3958775872.(paste number in ebay search box). This is for 3 common mint sets. I sent the seller a Money Order, of the type he requested, the day after the auction was completed.

Two weeks later I hadn't heard from them nor had I received my coins. I wrote an email and asked for the status of the order. I got no response. 4 days after that I sent a 2nd email asking for the status. Again I got no response. I waited until the auction had been over for 30 days sent a 3rd email and got no response.

I filed a non-sellers complaint against the company. ebay sent the standard notice to each of us. Two weeks later I get a package in the mail. It's one set short. They never sent the 1970 set. They did include a note for me to leave them a positive feedback..!

I since have sent them two emails regarding the missing set. I haven't gotten a response. The package I received was unmolested so I don't think it was taken in the mail. I checked the stamps on the package and there was enough postage to cover only two sets.

What, in your opinion, do you think I should do about this.

Have you ask for and gotten the seller info , Including a phone number from ebay, I think my next move would be a heart to heart on the phone.

It looks like e-bay kicked them off...they are "Not a registered user"!!!

I would leave bad feed back...that would be my only hope.

Well catman looks like they have been NARU'd. At this point I wouldn't even bother with them. I think you probably lucked out you received anything at all at this point. You could leave them a negative feedback, which won't help you any and since they are NARU they could not give you a retalitory responce. Also at least you got value from your purchase I believe even with the 2 sets received they are valued more than what you paid IMO. Finally I'll say that being that the seller is from Canada, it would be difficult to go after him since he is in another country. This episode with you sorta confirms to me of the reason of why I try and stay away from sellers outa the good ole US of A.And why paying with a MO or cashiers check can go against ya. Altho I have paid with MO before, I don't like it when I do do it..

I would definitely leave them negative feedback. As we have recently seen, sometimes sellers are only NARU'd for 30 days. If this seller is reinstated, it would be nice for buyers to know what risks they could be taking by purchasing from this seller.

I just left a negative feedback. It wasn't worth the trouble. I wanted to thank all for the input. It helps when trying to make a decision.
