Aussie $2 Mule Coins - How Do You Detect Them?

Probably the best person to ask is Yass, as Yass seems to be an expert in Australian error coins. You may get Yass's attention more if you move this thread to the Australian Error & Variety section. Best of luck. Snooba. There are far more knowledgable than I am. I saw this entry and was simply going to reply that there aren't any $2 mules. But because I wasn't 99.99999999% certain, I left it to others. Hanging neck out: There are no $2 mules in any year. Whenever entering this or the aussie coin forum, I simply press the active topics button. It's the only way to ensure I'm not missing anything. Report this Post to the Staff
Brissyboy Valued Member Australia 335 Posts	Posted 08/29/2006 10:51 am Yass is correct. There have not been to date any Aussie $2 mules. Some $2 coins have rim "defects" which people have claimed as mules either through ignorance or as a ploy to sell a coin worth 2 dollars for a lot more. All such coins when compared to a 5 cent obverse show a difference in size of the Queen's head. If they were mules with a 5 cent obverse, then both heads should be the same size. Unfortunately they are not. Australian mules have been listed in the World Coins area of this Forum under World Mules. Report this Post to the Staff
