These varieties were discovered in 2007.
To day, for data of 1430 coins checked, only 18 coins were entered for the variety 5 cents far 2 = 1.26 %
Did you know this variety ?

Do you have pics or a link? I think Charlton's only lists flat and concave varieties.

Discovered and listed, in 2007, by Pierre Charest " Monnaies canadiennes et leurs varietés ".
Non listed, in 2010, by Charlton ans in the trends of CCN.

This date is a real tough coin to acquire in an I.C.C.S., MS-62 and higher. I'm not even looking at any particular variety, I'd be merely happy with just getting the coin without the Cert. even having a variety designation. If anyone knows the whereabouts of one, please feel free to drop me a line! Glenn

DBM,you say above in your last message : " On another discussion site recently someone said far 2's were about 10% ".
AS you can see, with the pic of castor, the variety " far 2 " is very different with the variety " near 2 " for the 5 cents 1932. When we see a 5 cents 1926 far 6, no need to refer to far rim or near rim to identify this variety : same thing for the 5 cents 1932 far 2, rare variety.
Except future data, I maintain that less than 2 % of 5 cents 1932 are " Far 2 ", and more than 98 % of 5 cents 1932 are " near 2 ".
--------
We cannot confuse the rare variety ( 5 cents 1932 far 2 ) with the varities listed in the Charlton and in the trends : 5 cents 1932 Near Rim and 5 cents 1932 Far Rim.
It is possible that one of these varieties ( maybe Near Rim ) was about 10 % or 20 %, but this is another type of variety, and these " Near Rim " and " Far Rim " are rather commons.

To all members,
You have seen the photos presented by castor : I think that all is now more easy, with this, to identify the varieties " Far 2 " and Near 2 ".
I need your help in my search : I hope to obtain your data, in reference to the 5 cents 1932, to increase the statistics about these varities.
Your collaboration are very important to confirm or not the actual data on this !
Thanks in advance !
