We bought the coin in Pittsburg during the ANA show and put it in the Bowers Auction where it fetched just over $2000. It was graded NGC MS-67. Some on the ebay coin and paper discussions (I have huge fight going on under the ACG lawsuit) will claim you were greedy, but I say the market has spoken. After all, aren't all businesses supposed to generate cash, collect it and make a profit? But than again, some will say that profits are greedy. Sorry...just venting as I try to collect my thoughts after reading some of these "socialist" posts! Report this Post to the Staff

As long as a coin is accurately described, the collector/buyer will set the price that they are willing to pay. A seller/dealer has to take into account any money that they have in it and any fees associated with selling it. I do not see that sale as greedy at all, just good business sense. Ed, only customers want businesses to not make money. Look at them when they want to sell, and all the sudden their items are lined with gold. I make absolutely no appologies for making a living in a career that I love. I consider myself very lucky. Now, as far as market goes, the majority of buyers using the major auction firms are quite different than the average online auction buyers. Report this Post to the Staff
