Coin Collecting Supplies

In response to a number of emails I have received, I am opening another can of worms.

I keep getting the question what supplies should a collector have.

I will list what I use and hope the rest of you will add interesting items to this list.


First- Reference books - determined by your interest.
Next investment money - it takes money to buy money.

Then my list includes not forgetting Coins and banknotes.

Cotton gloves.
A soft cloth to examine them over
A magnifying glass (loop)
2x2s or flips
A FLAT CINCH stapler - what a great buy
Storage pages or boxes.
a digital scale (weight)
a digital micrometer (dimensions)
I had but gave away a microscope- may get another one.
A safe deposit box - / safe
a dehumidifier (I live in a humid area)
a good light (for examination)
a excellent camera-
with macro or super macro ability (camera supplies)
A computer and active membership in this forum
