I just found some 2011 magnetic pennies today.

Does anyone know what percentage are magnetic and non-magnetic ?

To date I have been only finding 2011 non-magnetic pennies I (copper plated zinc) and did not know 2011 magnetic version (copper plated steel) pennies existed.

Where did you find them? Do they have the logo on the obverse? Do they come from sets or circulation?

I found all three 2011 magnetic pennies in rolls from the bank and they have the usual RCM logo on the back.

So... Why does Canada continue to make two different compositions of pennies?

Coinsearcher 83 asked:
"So... Why does Canada continue to make two different compositions of pennies?"

Basically, cost and availability.

At certain times the zinc blanks are less costly and/or more available, and at certain times the steel blanks are less costly and/or more available.
