There have been a heap of fake/altered 1930 pennys on ebay lately.
Some are listed as altered and some arn't.
The listed as fakes are going for 100-200 dollars, why anyone would want a fake in their collection baffels me.
Then there was this one
that sold to some poor chup for $1686
Unbelivable.

The buyer must be visually impaired, that's obviously not real!

life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

Yeah wish I could sell 1936 pennys for $1686 each but I think my Conscience or the angry buyers would get to me.
Seriously tho I reported this to ebay and nothing was done about it

If it had copy written on the back of it I would buy one.
Not because I want to resell it as a real one but for the fact I will NEVER be able to own a real one.
I hate empty spots in my album now I am actually getting it filled.
But there is no way I would pay more than 5 dollars for a copy.

That coin is obvious as dog b..ls a 1936 .
Trout I been reporting them for about 6 years & I think they have only pull 1 or 2 in that time.
I will not insult my collection with a fake of any kind,i'd rather have the empty space.
The more fakes people buy the more it gives the makers of fakes insentive to continue making the fakes.
Does that make sense ? I know what I mean anyway.

I got some of these off ebay for $6 free postage.
They fill the hole in the album and they are clearly marked "copy".
For nearly all of us a genuine 1930 penny is a pipe dream.
If I had that sort of spare cash a new boat with an F350 to pull it would be on my list first

I think it would be quite a giggle to list one of these fakes (if I had one) on ebay, then wait 24hrs and email all the bidders letting them know how foolish they are for bidding on a fake coin and then cancell the listing
