Here are some of my newest additions:

1763 George III Maundy 3 Pence
(Picture of the reverse is a bit blurry; it was the best I could do.)

1834 William IV 6 Pence

1871 Victoria 4 Pence

1878 Victoria Third Farthing
(This is my first acquisition of a fractional farthing, its rather intriguing. Also, the dusty looking area on the neck and below the chin is on the outside of the coin.)

1896 Victoria One Shilling

Yes, there were days when even lowest denomination needed to be fractionalized!

Nice Maundies! (That's what I'm after at the moment.)

That's that sort of stuff I have been into for many years, so that makes us kindred spirits.

My son has a complete type set of shillings from Charles 11 to Elizabeth 11, except the Nothumberland and Dorien & Magens types, from F to Unc.
I have done the same thing with half crowns and florins, but only from 1816, again F to Unc.

When you say "a complete set" you mean every year of issue or just every type?

Naw, just a type set collector! I apologise if I may have caused too much excitement. I am only a type set collector as well.

Can't afford to do any more that, when I collect all coins, all cultures all centuries, ancient to modern. It's just the British coins have much better representation in such a collection.

That's fine, sel, pages of same looking coins wouldn't excite me much. I'm collecting types myself.
