I have not had it tested to see if its a real or fake, and wanted to see if I could save myself the embarrassing trip if it is =) Any help to determine what it may be would be amazing. Namachieli Pillar of the Community United States 2120 Posts	Posted 10/04/2012 1:03 pm Things that will help; Weight (as close to the hundredth of a gram as you can) Size in mm (if you dont have calipers, take a photo next to a well known coin like a US quarter) Cool piece, I hope it turns out to be real, whatever it is. oh and Report this Post to the Staff

tntelle New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 10/04/2012 7:56 pm Its mounted to an ugly necklace, the coin measures about 20mm, the whole thing weighs 43 grams, but that includes the chain and mount around it so I unfortunately don't have the real weight for just the coin, I don't know if it was clipped or not it is something passed onto me and I have no idea of its origin or who decided to turn it into a piece of jewelry. I've been looking around trying to find out the denomination of escudo but haven't caught anything that really matches. Report this Post to the Staff
