Marc D Valued Member 92 Posts	Posted 01/26/2013 12:41 pm Good Day - When reading some literature on Canadian Silver dollars, I often see references to the physical size of our silver dollar, to include diameter, weight and thickness. With respect to the thickness values, how does someone "measure" the thickness of a silver dollar? from or "by" the rim thickness or the fields? I am even measuring specific gravity (relative density) to eliminate, in my mind, any potential fakes. luckily none have been found yet in my modest collection.
