Hello
I found this 1984 Lincoln this morning.It is silver in color.The weight is normal for a zinccoln (2.53gr.)
There is also no indication of acid being used on it.And do not believe that it was plated.
Thank you for any info on this one

The obverse has what looks to me to be striations.It also has some copper showing ,strongest around the date.
Possibilities: mercury coating or partially plated planchet.
Conclusion: I'll wait to see what coop or Mr.Diamond has to say.

I would have to go with plated since there is copper showing through.

It might be several things. But it WAS a normal coin and something was added to it and changed the appearance. (Paint, nail polish, coin dipping agents, mercury ......)
