1955 Goldish-Silver Color Lincoln Wheat Penny

My photos aren't really showing the color accurately. It is actually more the color of a shiny Chuck E. Cheese token! It's not at all magnetic. ]Anybody know anything about it? Some coins that you see that way were often done by high school kids as part of a science experiment. That is also one explanation. I know I once did the same when in high school.
