This one appears to have been struck off-center as both sides of the coin are off-center as opposed to a single side with a MAD. can someone confirm or let me know what it is please? Thanks in advance.
Good point, but if it was a MAD wouldn't one side of the coin be normal and just one side off center? It looks like the whole coin was struck slightly off center. I don't know though. Ha
This is a MAD. The reverse die was the anvil die with the collar around it. There is some clearance between the collar and the anvil die so the two dies were against each other on one side causing the reverse to be uncentered. The weakness on the right side of the reverse is because of the obverse (hammer die) being offset. There is not detail going over the side of the coin to be considered a collectable MAD but I would still keep it.
