Nice, I say MS-62 red. Would go higher if not for the splotches on the obv.

I'd guess 63RD. Do you think it's been cyanided? The color and surfaces almost look dipped?

MS63 and the color and water spots lead me to believe this one was dipped.

Oh my. Tough coin to grade actually.

The strike is very, very nice. VERY fresh set of obverse dies - besides the obvious beard detail, see the wrinkles in the forehead?

I am 65+.

Yep...has a black splotch...but still a 65 on strike and RED. No black, 66 with a shot at 67.

I noticed the beard, thanks for pointing out the forehead. My first thought was 63RD

If so, they did one helluv a job. This coin has blazing cartwheel and LDS luster. In hand, those spots are not very apparent, the pictures exaggerate them.
