Hi there.
A friend of mine gave me a bag full of 'Roman' coins , he said :D

I managed to clean this one , can you tell me if its real Roman , or should I look else where (eg. Byzant etc.)

The coin is not Roman looks to be a Spanish coin

Yep, a Jetton, from Nurem* (they spelt it many ways back then). Pretty common, but this is a nice example. Been used for jewellery, probably dropped when the line broke. Authentic.

I think the most of the coins that my friend gave me , are not Roman ... so I posted another topic in the "Identification" subforum.

I think this will be long topic , because the coins are more than 500
