I just remembered picking up some old US dollar notes for US dollar value from a junk stall for $8. I knew I could get my money back if they were not worth anything.

1 x $5 1934. Good condition (Federal Reserve Note)
2 X $1 1935A. Passable.
1 x $1 series 1995. Good condition

Any 1934 five that isn't in perfect condition will typically trade for around $7. 1934 green seal fives in perfect condition can be worth $20+.

99% of the time 1935 $1 are worth around $2-5 These were printed by the billions and they are not that rare or interesting to collectors. Although I can probably get $5 in NZ

My 2 have 1935 $1......
"This certificate is legal tender

1995 = Face Value

I bought 3 Barber dimes for $10 a while back. Silver was around $21 at the time. 2 were VFish and the other was good. Also a $5 and a $1 silver certificate for $8. Not "super" deals but I was pleased at the time.
