xshift Pillar of the Community United States 2669 Posts	Posted 04/28/2015 10:33 am The thing about security is most people outside numismatists think that old coins are always valuable. So it doesn't matter if those old coins you have out that people see aren't worth much monetarily, as most people will think you have a fortune just sitting there. It doesn't even have to be someone you know who tries to rob you, either, it could just be a side mention of a friend to someone they know that you have some cool coins, and then all bets are off. You could live in the best neighborhood in the world. I'm betting the person who tries to take what you have does not live in it. Quote: Looks like it will be a good room for photography as well... It does indeed! And it's kind of funny.. we could be neighbors. The guy who built the house I currently live in did the walls in the basement the same exact way that back wall is, right down to the baseboard heater. If that had been a full wall I'd have thought you'd been in my house taking pictures Report this Post to the Staff

If you have any coins worth over $200 they should go into a safe deposit box. Report this Post to the Staff
