"The increase will be two percentage points, which means the HST will jump from 13 per cent to 15 per cent"

The cash-strapped Newfoundland and Labrador government will increase the harmonized sales tax in Thursday's budget, as it moves to offset a severe drop in oil revenues,

Does this mean that when oil revenues recover they'll drop the HST bact to 13%? (yeah, fat chance of that ever happening lol)

Yikes! That's a lot of tax ya'll have to pay. I feel bad being here in Alberta paying only 5%, honestly up to 10% is find but higher than that is just plain crazy.

You have your numbers wrong. Manitoba pays 13% tax except our taxes are split into GST and PST rather than HST. I am fairly certain 9/10 provinces are 10% or higher.
