I wonder what kind of exposure this thread will have on the auction and how that will affect the final bidding. I'm sure this site can account for a decent premium for the seller.

Still at @ paultry $11.50
I'm sure they're will be some action in the final moments... Ugly or not, I'm hard pressed to pass up a 130+ year RPM Morgan for peanuts.

I saw it as a result of this thread and threw a bid at it and was immediately outbid, so someone has a decent high bid in place. I've certainly seen worse. Knowing nothing about VAMs and current value, I will guess $32 in a true stab in the dark.

Three different O/S dies were used in 1882, VAMs 3, 4 and 5. I think this is VAM-4 due to the location of the crossbar of the S. I doubt this is worth much, though, as a raw F/VF with rim damage sold for $26.50 on ebay in 2008. Since this is obviously in a lower grade and also has rim damage, I would estimate low $20's factoring in inflation.

EDIT: added link to VAMworld page: http://www.vamworld.com/1882-O+VAM-4
