coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/11/2015 12:26 pm The 99-D and the 86-D looks like it is a Struck Through Grease error. But this area is often affected with this on the Memorial cents. Note on the devices how they look wide in those areas? That is because the only area being struck up was the lower edges of these devices. The tops are block with grease in the die. (they are tapered on the die for easier release after the strike. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/11/2015 5:26 pm The "L" on LIBERTY looks like die polishing reducing the field so much the L is going away. If it were a struck through error (grease) then the "L" would be missing or a lot wider like the coins you posted above. Report this Post to the Staff
