Another Ike Die Clash? - Coin Community Forum

batboy Pillar of the Community United States 650 Posts	Posted 01/06/2016 10:57 am I found a "Talon Head" die clash on a 1971-D Ike yesterday. Today I think perhaps I found a "Moon Line" die clash on a 1974-D Ike. I'm just learning about die clashes, so any help given will be appreciated. Figuring I was on a roll with finding Ike die clashes, I went through my stash of Ikes again looking for the "Jaw Line" die clash which is supposed to be the most common one. Struck out. Dang-nab-it. Agrippa Pillar of the Community United States 663 Posts	Posted 01/06/2016 9:24 pm Wow! That's a strong clash! Yes, that is a "Moon Line" die clash. If I remember correctly, there a couple of different "Grades" of the Moon Line clash which are determined by the strength/length of the clash. batboy Pillar of the Community United States 650 Posts	Posted 01/06/2016 10:22 pm Yep, I was using the Ike Group's website to look for varieties and errors, that's how I found die clashes. The Moon Line die clash can be a Grade A, B, and C (with A being the strongest and most visible). The Talon Head die clash I found is also a strong one (photo below, look at Ike's temple).
