The silver of this era begins its long 50 year debasement into silver wash bronze. The use of eastern mints by the Severans also adds some differences in style which can appear odd to collectors accustomed to Rome issues. The dress lines of Spes in particular have a crude unrefined appearance. I am inclined to think probably good Probably minted in Syria Report this Post to the Staff

chuy1530 Pillar of the Community United States 513 Posts	Posted 02/22/2016 4:13 pm Nothing about it screams fake to me, but it does look just off enough that I would worry (though that could be the mint style like fvrivs was saying.) I would go for it if it were from a reputable, well known dealer and avoid it if it were not. It's worth a little premium to me to not have to wonder if my coins are real or not, especially on types I don't know well. Report this Post to the Staff
