I thought I had this one attributed as a VAM11 but now I'm second guessing it after seeing my photos. More likely a VAM57 Nate?

VAM-11 and 57 are of the same die pair, but when LVA listed the V57 it was for the beveled tail feather. Hard to tell by photos, but from what I can see it looks like it is a VAM-57. Die marker on OBV and MM of reverse confirm the dies anyways, so it is just a matter of die state. Your VAM-57A is later than the 57, which is later than the VAM-11, so the beveling should show on this coin to be a VAM-57. I have seen stages with very light beveling under the TF, but I still call them 57s..

The tail feathers are not beveled so it is a VAM11?

Well it is a small beveling just below the rightmost tail feather. If no beveling, then yes it is a VAM-11... til things are straightened with LVA anyways. The beveling is pictured in one of the four plate photos on the VAM-57 page.

The part that confused me was the "Die marker- Horizontal die scratch on neck" in the VAM57 listing and no mention in the VAM11 listing. I thought it may have occurred after the transition from 11 to 57 but apparently it's a die marker for 11 as well?

Yes, the die marker is present on the VAM-11 die state as well. It appears we need some LFCPs on the VAM-11 page. I didn't realize, or else that would have been fixed by now! The only real difference between feature-wise between the 11 and 57 is that tail feather, other than some 11s can come unclashed.

I just read through Ray's post on VAMworld "The Tale of Two VAMs?" It's amazing how die wear can morph the dies into a seemingly different die pair. This is getting intense...
