I found this coin buried outside my house, cleaned it with soap and water to get some dirt off to get this picture.

It bears the same inscription as coins of the Hsien Feng (Xianfeng) emperor of China, ruled 1851-1861. However, I would assume yours is a large replica, made for decorating houses. His reign-title means "abundance for all", so is considered a "lucky" one to use for Feng Shui purposes.

I have read somewhere that some Chinese coins (or replica's) were burried in the driveway to the house or in the garden to attract luck and health

Definitely a modern charm. Genuine coins never had that design on the reverse.
