Hi, I was wondering if the 1985 d penny I found that weights 2 gram instead of 2.5 gram is a error coin? The penny is yellow color in BU condition. Any info would be great! Thanks

A cent should not be a yellow color. I'm not sure about the weight. Pictures would help.

Could be a brass plate that makes it look yellow. Make sure your scale is right.

It does not look yellow going by that pic. Can you post a pic with another cent that is copper color next to the yellow? one in the same shot. A reverse pic might be helpful as well as a edge shot. Did you check to see if your scale is accurate?
