Hmmmmm you've got your hands full. Figure out what you want to collect. Then do some homework. Maybe get a few coin magazines at a book store and do some reading as they will have some interesting articles. Figure out your coin budget and try to get into the habit of buying the best you can afford. Decide if your going for slabbed or raw coins. This will be basically the same if collecting currency. Then after you have an idea of your direction in collecting you may want to get some items to help you in you pursuit! Such as some decent coin tongs, magnifier (I would suggest a 10x at least and also a 35x) these can be bought on ebay at a reasonable price. Then ask pleanty of questions here and you will learn a lot. Wow....best of luck to you Mommy......he he

Glad to have you here. I started with a State Quarter folder and my kids looking around the house in change trying to fill it up. Now many folders later we are still searching.

thats what we were starting with (although when I got the folders I kind of got everything because I'm a little odd (cents/quarters/dimes etc.) and after searching all of the change in the house which was alot I actually realized I'm glad id did or id have containers of coins just sitting forever around the house

YES! right now like I said above I am just so odd I am sorting and placing a lot. (don't ask) However I have figured out I really love the ikes, I don't know why but something about them is just so beautiful to me, ( id do like kennedys too) and I like Nickels. I also love trying to find errors already (but that kind of correlates to my job so I can see why I like that) I definitely need some more tools but I have gotten a 10x and 16x

well see where this takes me. I do know right now I don't think ill venture into slabs until I am wayyyyyy more educated
