drewmiller86 Valued Member United States 177 Posts	Posted 02/27/2017 6:30 pm This Coins weight is 11.41 Grams.I was thinking that if it was plated it would weigh more than the 11.5 grams that it should weigh. sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 02/27/2017 6:55 pm It is very difficult to see the poorer alloy on the edge of any of the '65 to '70 Half dollars that I possess. Silver clad 80% silver 20% copper, with a 79% copper, 21% silver core. They ALL weigh 11.5 grammes. The 90% silver proofs are '64, and 1992s to date, weigh 12.5 grammes, and appear obviously different. Report this Post to the Staff
