Yellow/Gold Tone On A Penny? - Coin Community Forum

Adam4478 New Member United States 7 Posts	Posted 03/14/2015 1:42 pm I found this CRH. I am only on my second box of CRH and this caught my eye. I seems to have a yellow or gold like tone but since I'm new to this maybe someone could verify it for me. I took some pics of it next to a copper penny and a silver nickel to give you something to compare it to. Thanks in advance. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 03/14/2015 2:08 pm The 74 is a copper planchet, the 83 is a copper plated zinc planchet. (Zincoln) So that might be affecting the color comparison. Try taking the image with Zincolns. Report this Post to the Staff
