Not a Cud, but a retained internal die break I'm thinking. Very unusual. We need coop or other experts to comment.

I would suggest that it may be a little too rectilinear for a die break. Always difficult to be sure with a photo but looks more like a lifted small lamination plate between the devices. More common around LIBERTY (and often confused for a BIE), but it happens around the date as well.

Not a Lamination peel. It is a Interior Die Break.

It is an Interior Die Break. It is listed as IDB-1c-1950D-01 on cuds-on-coins. It's a definite keeper.
