Unknown Worn Down 1862 Coin - Coin Community Forum

QwertySilver New Member Canada 8 Posts	Posted 01/04/2020 1:29 pm Hello. Can someone help me idendify this coin. It is too worn down for me to make out what it says. It is 30mm diameter, 8.89g, has a specific gravity of approx 8.70 and is only slightly magnetic. oriole Pillar of the Community Canada 5263 Posts	Posted 01/04/2020 1:43 pm It is a penny of Great Britain. It should be of copper/ bronze and not magnetic at all, but it looks like it may have a bit of plating of something magnetic like Nickel. Report this Post to the Staff
