Today I purchased a roll of nickels from the thrift store as I was checking out. Anyway I weighed them all There are 8 of them that weigh 4.8 and 8 that weigh 4.9 and the rest 5. They are all bright and shiney new nickels I havent looked at each one that close. I did look at a few rims and the 4.8 ones seems to be diff. maybe couple diff shades and a couple skuffs Soend them or more research?
