That is an odd one--coming down from Abe's forehead to near the date is that large linear region. There is quite a bit of circulation wear which is making it hard for me to identify. Perhaps this cent was struck through a thin strip of copper?

Could you include a picture of the "right hand turn" just to the north and east of the date?

It could either be a lamination issue or a piece of scrap that made its way into the striking chamber.
