Well I am pretty sure this is some kind of PMD but wanted to make sure before I threw it back in the box. If it is PMD how did they happen to get the layer off without damaging the area around it. Was it burnt. I am just trying to learn and figure things out so I don't have to ask next time so any information would be appreciated. Thanks Chris

You are correct I am not the brightest crayon in the box.
I knew that just didn't think about it as I was hurrying to post it before leaving because I was hoping to get answers before bedtime but too late now the damage is done

some sort of environmental staining or post mint damage. Keep searching!
