Hello everybody so I received my first Wheat penny roll today and am curious on a couple of coins first is this 1956 D Wheat penny with what looks like a messed up D mint mark What do you think

I cannot tell if it's taken a hit and that's what's leaving bright or what's going on. Can you give us a closer photo, please?
