If so, you may have a case of split plating. One or two closer-in, large and sharp photos may tell a better story. Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

silviosi Pillar of the Community Canada 6244 Posts	Posted 04/12/2021 5:28 pm The collecting community adopted the term "SPLIT PLATING". Till all studies will be finish we will say split plating. I am not involved in this study but I talk with some involved. Seem at 80% to be s plating defiance. Seem to be attributed to the material electrical resistance. Not yet resolute. The cents planchets are delivered already plated by third party of the mint. here follow the explanation from the ANA learn Academy. So is not a mint default, error, variety or strike.
