@bog, it would be unusual to have a die chip completely separated from the rest of the design elements. Maybe a die dent?

Die dent, a term I was mostly unfamiliar with until you mentioned it. Would I have to see an indent on the reverse side of the coin for it to be a die dent? If so, there isn't anything odd/incuse/indented showing on the reverse near the location opposite the raised 'hair like' piece. Thanks for the reply, @Spence, always appreciated.
