New here and I sure hope I did this correctly. Basically I have this 1985 Denver mint quarter it appears to have smooth edges and either damage or an error on both sides of the coin. If anyone knows which one it could be I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you in advance.

Looks to me like a well-circulated quarter with post-strike damage--a hit taken in circulation.

Best not to hold your coin to photograph it. Just lay your coin flat and photograph both sides from above. From what I can see, your quarter has post mint damage. No errors here, just damage.

@cur, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes that looks like damage to me too. This coin would be a spender for me, but I agree with @merc about not touching the faces of your coins if you can help it.
