Yes. Often called a hornets' nest. Many times that die chip eventually splits into a die crack to the rim.

Yep, that's a small Die Chip. The side of the building is a weak spot, on that part of the die.

I actually started a little collection of them. I find it interesting how consistently the dies will begin to fail at that exact edge.
