I am new to coin collecting. I am looking for guidance or help learning about marks and gouges please. I came acrossed the attached photo of a 1896-O Morgan dollar. Please see the gouge, for a lack of better words, located on the "M" on the UNUM. Is this from normal coin usage or something else?
