It is rusted completely through and is almost unrecognizable and I am wondering if anyone can. Tell me what these coins are made of and how does this happen ? Report this Post to the Staff

okiecoiner Pillar of the Community Canada 5596 Posts	Posted 10/28/2023 08:16 am It's essentially a steel core with 3 platings .... thin coat of nickel, then copper, then nickel again over a steel core. The whole coin is 92% steel, so there's your rust. Report this Post to the Staff
