I've got a 82 D copper penny but the date and mm are damaged just enough to make identification difficult for me. I can't tell if it is a small date or not. Is there another way to ID it as a small date or not ?

Large date for sure, the distance of the 2 from the rim is readily visible even with the damage.

Weighed 3.1 Thank you all for your info. Some of the other things I read about had me hopeful that I had a good one. Thanks again
