1972 Eisenhower Dollar - Rockwell Test Mark Planchet Error?

ASometimes New Member United States 47 Posts	Posted 03/11/2025 3:34 pm Hello fellow treasure hunters! I found this 1972 Eisenhower dollar with a small circular dent on the obverse side in the center of the date (in between the '9' & '7'). Is it possible this could be a Rockwell Hardness Test Mark or just PMD?! Report this Post to the Staff

JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 21677 Posts	Posted 03/11/2025 6:34 pm A Rockwell test mark is usually towards the centre of the coin. Also it will appear as an oval instead of a circle due to the distortion from the striking of the coin. Yours is PMD. Report this Post to the Staff
